Painting with Paper:  Exploring Abstract Collage- Sue Hart

Sue Hart:  My goal is not only to fill your cups as instructors but also as artists; to encourage your creative voice.

Making Curriculum Connections with the Standards- Lorinda Rice, Curriculum Specialist for Visual Art at Lincoln Public Schools will facilitate a session to develop the whole learner.

Sue and Lorinda actively show their art in both one-person and group exhibitions, and have received numerous recognitions for their talents. (Bio’s available at the workshop.)

Materials Required: Fluid gloss or medium or gloss medium and varnish; Regular gel medium (gloss or matte); Old ½” bristle brush (to use with medium); Soft 1” mop or rake brush (for painting tissue paper); Inexpensive 2” brayer or wallpaper roller; Spray bottle for water; Containers for water, paint and medium (opt. lids); 8”x 8” or 10” x 10” substrate (white or cream mat board); Roll of paper towels; Scissors, Pencil, Sharpie Marker, Welcome to bring your own decorative papers or found items

Registration fee is covered for Title II-A Consortium Member Schools. This workshop is eligible for  substitute reimbursement for core academic teachers at the rate of $100 per day.  

Registration deadline is one week prior to workshop.

Cancellations not received 5 business days in advance and no-shows will be billed registration fee.
