Technology Services  

Educational Service Unit 10 delivers Internet access to 57,000 students and manages over 10,000 faculty/staff email accounts for schools in central, southwestern, and western Nebraska. These support services are maintained through a consortium of ESUs; and all schools in the ESU 10 area are offered some technical infrastructure and services for little to no cost including:

• Email accounts with SPAM and virus filtering
• Web sites, blogs, and calendar hosting
• Online survey tools
• Domain Name Service hosting, configuration and maintenance
• IP Address allocation
• Internet Access and circuit monitoring for districts connected to the consortium network
• ODIE suite of web applications – Helpdesk tickets, Repair tickets, Media Library items, Asset tracking, Communities and Workshop registration
• Delivery routes for tangible media library items, equipment repair and other items
• Remote or on-site training and classroom support for technology integration

Other technical support and services are available for additional fees including:

• Web content filtering and reporting – our filtering system provides districts the ability to manage their own policies and rules to meet federal laws for child safety on the Internet
• Dedicated Internet bandwidth – as a member of Network Nebraska, Internet bandwidth districts have the option to acquire dedicated bandwidth which can be shaped to specific district needs and purchased at a very favorable discount through the statewide negotiated contract
• Student Information System support – by partnering with other ESUs we are able offer additional support for districts using Pearson’s PowerSchool as their Student Information System (SIS) which includes on-site support, training, and remote assistance throughout the school year
• Off-site Backup hosting – through our consortium of ESUs, we offer districts off-site storage systems for protecting critical files  against the threat of a local disaster
