This training is on a new way to facilitate IEP meetings that will get more people participating and problem solving on behalf of the student. It takes the pressure off the case manager to be the author of the paperwork, instead they fill the role of being the recorder of the meeting. Parents and general educators will participate more and general educators will take more ownership of the service plan for students in their classrooms. Running IEP meetings as suggested is likely to increase the effectiveness of the meeting and focus on an IEP meeting's original goals of solving problems and making programming better for students with special needs.
