Learning to Teach Musical Accompaniment Effortlessly
December 31, 1969
Do you have students who:
Want to play in a band and read lead sheets and chord charts like guitarists do?
Want to accompany singers and transpose on a dime to be a socially-adaptable pianist?
Desire to be a song writer and accompany themselves?
Then this music workshop is for you!
Coming to ESU 10 on September 27, 2011, is another Simply Music workshop offered by Janita Pavelka of New Song Piano Studio. This workshop will teach chords in three basic shapes which you can teach in your classroom using the Simply Music method.
Simply music is an Australian-developed piano program where students are playing blues, classical, and accompaniment chords with their own selection of music faster than any other method. This is a fun, natural and quick way to teach piano to students.
Participants will gain musical instructional strategies for the piano and receive instructional materials of a book and CD. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at ESU 10. Register on ODIE by September 20th. For questions, contact Cindy Baum, (308) 237-5927 or cbaum@esu10.org.
