Kids CAN...Stop Bullying!

Kids CAN…Stop Bullying, a leadership experience for area fourth grade students, was held at ESU 10 in Kearney on Thursday, October 7, 2010. The conference focused on violence prevention where teams of two to six students per school participated in activities with an emphasis on the role of the bystander in bullying prevention.

Approximately 44 students from 10 area schools including Elm Creek, Lexington, Overton, Sandhills, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller and Kearney Public Meadowlark, Emerson, Glenwood, Riverdale, and Stone Schools participated in the conference. Each student received materials on the topic with ideas for how they can carry the message back to their school that Kids CAN…Stop Bullying!
