Leadership Training Opportunities

On February 20th a national expert on educational leadership addressed over 80 school administrators from around the state in Kearney. Todd Whitaker from Indiana State University was invited by Educational Service Unit 10 to lead the day. Leadership teams from 23 school districts from as far away as McCook and Lincoln and as near as Grand Island, Lexington, and Kearney learned about “7 Keys to Unlocking Change.”

In the world in which we live, where change is the only constant, it is easy to identify changes that should be made. The challenge is getting everyone to accept and embrace those changes. At the Whitaker in-service, leadership teams learned of seven keys to successfully implement any change. They also acquired specific ways to neutralize resistors and gain system-wide enthusiasm. In essence, they learned how to gain support for any change effort.

The day with Todd Whitaker was the first of many learning opportunities sponsored by ESU 10 for school leaders. Upcoming events include (click on the link for more information and to register):
