ESU 10 Proudly presents Carol Anne McGuire in Technology for the Non-Techy Teacher. Carol Anne is an educator with the blind and visually impaired in California. She is recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, Top Online Educator, Discovery Network Educator, Disney Educator, SMART Board Exemplary Educator, and Google Certified Teacher. She is also the president and lead rocker for the Rock Our World Collaboration (http://www.rockourworld.org).
Carol Anne McGuire will be presenting on primarily Mac based programs as she demonstrates podcasting and making movies in this workshop. She will show the importance of teachers taking small steps using technology to make a big impact on students' learning. It can be as easy as using iPods to teach reading or as elaborate as making movies to teach science and math. These projects can be done on both platforms but will be demonstrated and taught on the Mac platform.
There will be some hands-on training, so please bring any technology equipment (laptop, digital or video camera, iPod, or microphone) that you would like to learn to implement.
