Deaf Education and Audiology Services, We&apos;re &quot;HEAR&quot; to help You and Your Students.&lt;br /&gt;
Goals: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Learn what audiology &amp;amp; deaf education services are offered to you and your students and understand how to appropriately access audiology &amp;amp; deaf education services. &lt;/li&gt;n&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Gain an understanding of how different levels of deafness may impact the student&apos;s education.&amp;nbsp; Gain knowledge of accommodations that are available for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Have a basic knowledge of how to interpret audiology result/report information. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Intro to deaf ed. &amp;amp; audiology services, who we are, what are the differences &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;How to read and understand an audiogram and audiology results/report &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Best Practice: IFSP, &amp;amp; IEP procedures-communication concerns and education choices. What can you do after a child is identified with a hearing loss, what we can do to help? &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
SLPs &quot;Practicing&quot; Best Practice
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Explore and revise procedures, forms and interventions for ESU 10&apos;s new Problem Solving&amp;nbsp;for Articulation Process. &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Standardize ESU 10&apos;s Speech Language Assessment Battery by documenting pros and cons of various speech language tests (reliability and validity, administration time, additional needs, support for establishing goals, availability, etc.) &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Discuss ways SLPs can support a pre-referral problem solving process for students with speech language concerns through participation in RtI activities and SAT.&amp;nbsp; This might include helping staff and parents develop appropriate interventions, collecting formative and anecdotal data, as well as providing brief structured interventions. &lt;/li&gt;
